Graduates of the SFU Law School are more attractive for employers. That was reported by HeadHunter recruiting company on the basis of analysis of Krasnoyarsk’ vacancies base on the matter of employment of graduates of Regions’ Universities. 

 

According to such rating it is immediately understandable which specialists university is famous for. Moreover, marketolog and IT specialists are well educated according to employers’ survey. “This university is the leader in employers requests’” - head of press-\service in Siberia Elana Tarashuk told us.

 

Director of the SFU LS Irina Shisko commented results of research. “For us it is a logical consequence of many years of work. In situation when graduated lawyers are excessive employers are frequently appealing to us directly due to of their need for qualified workers, - noted Irina Viktorovna. – Thanks to exactingness for students’ knowledge, graduation from our university is prestigious not only in region but also on the federal level, and on the international level. Many of our students continued their education with masters programs of foreign Univesities, work in foreign organizations, in the largest companies of Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

 

 

For example: graduate of Comparative Law Department of the SFU LS Svetlana Paramonova defended dissertation and acquired Doctor of Law in Germany. A book “Criminal jurisdiction in a cyberspace: legal situation in Germany, Russia and the US was published On the basis of her dissertation. Currently she is a chief scientific researcher of the Institute of Foreign and International criminal law named after Max Plank (Freiburg im Breisgau Germany). Olga Vnukova in the 2012 she obtained master’s degree from Vermont state LS with honors and passed the bar exam. Alexey Vostokov – graduated 2005 is a head of a legal department of OCSiAL group of companies.

 

 

We have plenty of graduates with individual educational trajectories and further interesting careers - said associate professor of Theory of state and Law department, head of Comparative Law Department Ph.D. Irina Mishina – We give good starting positions. Students study - business German, business English and started Business Chinese. Our students are competitive on the international level already on the stage of Education. For example, they successfully participated at Phillip Jessop’s moot court competition for many years.

  

We need to add that in 2014 team of the SFU LS took 24th place in international Rounds and 2nd of Russian universities in Philip Jessop moot court competition. Students presented 70 page memorandum in English that was recognized one of the best and got in the top 15 in international rounds. Future lawyers won against teams from New York Buffalo University (USA), Galatasaray University (Turkey) and Santa-Maria Federal University (Brazil).
