The new Legal Clinic project
Since March of this year, implemented a joint project has been begun with the participation of Legal Clinic SFU Law Institute and "Our Krasnoyarsk Region" newspaper. This newspaper is a public one, its founders are the Governor of Krasnoyarsk region and the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Region. "Our Krasnoyarsk Region" - the leader among regional mass media in sphere in amount of individual's Subscription, with a run of 46 thousand copies weekly. That is why It is not surprising that readers from whole region sent letters to the newspaper and ask to resolve the legal problem. For an explanation to the readers their legal issues and gaining experience in sphere of giving written advice to citizens by staff of the Legal Clinic was established the project, called "Legal Advice". In 3 of April the first issue of the newspaper (№ 24/712) was released, where the first clinicians advice were given to readers. Trainees and clinicians admitted that for answering the questions seemed to be simple, but it was necessary to make a great effort to study them very deeply, especially specific problems of the application of a legal standard. In turn, the newspaper office noted the high level of students' knowledge and efficiency of responding to the nearest issue. Quality and competence of answers provided by the curator of the project, who is a senior lecturer of Department of Tort Law and Criminology Sergei Gutnick. Now everyone can send their letter to the "Our Krasnoyarsk region" newspaper office and to receive a detailed response from law student of our institute. You may send your letter by three ways: - By mail to the following address: 660075, Krasnoyarsk, Republic st., 51, p. 1; - Personally bring it to the newspaper office at the same address; - Fill out a form on the website gnkk.ru.
