SFU Law Institute student took part in the international program of the Academy of Public Diplomacy «ESC Diplomacy education»
At the end of April 2015 3rd year student of the "International Relations" department, Anna Bezyazykova, participated in the international program of the Academy of Public Diplomacy «ESC Diplomacy education», which took place in France on the basis of the UNESCO headquarters and the American University of Paris. The program included: participation in the work of the commission to UNESCO for the global challenges of the International Association for the Advancement of Innovative Approaches to Global Challenges (IAAI), attendance at the American University in Paris and the negotiations with the French non-governmental organizations in the field of education within the framework of initiation educational processes in the Eurasian space. The conference «COP 21 Youth and Media Alliance Building Workshop» with the support of UNESCO participants, including Anna, was directly involved in the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals - a document adopted by the UN General Assembly. Therefore, the final working paper sent to the secretariat of the meeting of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly for further work. Anna managed to get acquainted with the activities of United Nations staff and meet the Permanent Representative of Russia to UNESCO Eleonora Mitrofanova. Participation in this program allowed Anna to feel as a part of the team in developing new provisions in the field of international relations, get a great experience and get the opportunity for further work, including training in the UN system. |
