Convincing victory for the students of Law Institute SFU in the annual national competition "ECO-LAWYER"!

In the VII federal competition "ECO-LAWYER 2015", held from 1 April to 1 November 2015, the students of Law Institute of SFU has shown the best results.

Among the winners the following students of 3rd year:

1st place – Evtyugina A. V.;

2nd place – Kolpakova E. A.;

3rd place – Shinkevich D. S.

In addition, A. V. Evtuguin was awarded a special prize from the GEO magazine for the best work in the nomination "For independence in solving environmental problems."

Along with this incentive prizes were given to 22 students of Institute. Prizes for best performing creative tasks awarded to another 4 students.

Competition "ECO-LAWYER" has been held by the non-profit organization "Bellona" since 2009. Participants of the contest are the students of higher educational institutions of Russia, studying environmental law and anxious about nature conservation in the country. For 6 years, more than 8 000 students completed the assignment, designed by lawyers "Bellona".

The jury of the contest traditionally included lawyers, scientists, public and state figures, journalists, representatives of environmental non-profit organizations that largely determine the environmental agenda in our country.

The aim of the competition is to improve the environment with a community of active people defending environmental rights using legal knowledge and skills.

In 2011, the permanent partner of the contest was educational AcademConcult the company, which has established the main prize and annually provides the opportunity for the winner to be trained on a language or educational program in a prestigious foreign University. Since 2013, the jury entered a special category, which defined the best work "For a legally competent appeal to the judiciary" and "independence in solving environmental problems."

This year the contest organizers noted the significant activity of our students and the high level of knowledge in the field of environmental law in comparison with students from 218 training institutions of Russia, took part in the competition.

In connection with the outstanding result of a decision awarding Law Institute of the SFU Diploma for the best level of training students in environmental law in 2015 Volgograd state University became the second institution to receive the same Diploma this year. No other school from 218 (among them the MSU, MSLA, SSLA, national research University "HSE", Belgiu, TSU, etc.) is not honored with such an award. Note that this is the third award for our Institute.

Organized and conducted a competition among the 3rd year students of internal form of training senior lecturer of the Department of Labor and environmental law Spiglazova Tatiana Gennadievna assistant, Department of Labour and environmental law Vysotskaya Darya Alexandrovna.
