On April 8-9, 2010 Law Institute of  Siberian Federal University holds the IVth All-Russian Scientific Conference of students, graduate students and young scientists. This year Conference subject matter is: "Legal modernization as a factor of society and the State development". The Conference will be devoted to the memory of Professor A.S.Gorelik.
Deadline to submit synopsis is March, 26!

 

 

Clarification regarding participation in several sections

Dear participants of the Conference!

It is the first year for the conference sections to be conducted not only in the Russian but in English and German languages as well.

In order to provide participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge both in law and a foreign language it is acceptable for those willing to participate in ““Comparative jurisprudence position in legal modernization of Russian Federation” section and to make a presentation in English in a selected section on  April,9. Subject matters of the reports in the Russian and foreign languages may not coincide. To meet the requirements you must submit two applications for participation in each section correspondingly.

 Plenary and sections sessions are planned to be held within the framework of the conference
Plenary meeting will be held on the first day of the Conference (8 April 2010) from 10:00am to 14:00pm where conference general subject matter reports will be delivered. Thematic section are planned to work at 15.00 April, 8:

  1. Comparative jurisprudence position in legal modernization of Russian Federation (meeting will be held in two subsections in the English and German languages without translation into Russian, synopsis and articles must be submitted in English or German correspondingly with a brief summary in Russian).
     
  2. The Civil process: horizontal harmonization.
     
  3. Legal means of optimizing economy.
     
  4. Corruption as the factor that hinders the modernization of society.
     
  5. Trends of improving legislation on legal persons. 

The following sections meetings are held on April, 9 2010:

  1. The problems of theory and history of State and law.
     
  2. General theoretical aspects of legal modernization.
     
  3. Constitutional and legal aspects of modernization of the public authorities in modern Russia: formation, organization, functioning, interaction with the civil society.
     
  4. Administrative law and processes of modernization of the State management.
     
  5. The concept of improvement of the civil code: General provisions.
     
  6. The concept of improvement of the civil code: property and liability law.
     
  7. Urgeht problems of civil process.
