Traditional online-presentation of bachelor's theses of graduates of the Comparative Law Department was held in English and German from July 8 to July 10, 2020. SibFU Law School organized the presentation with the participation of professors of the University of Passau (Bavaria, Germany). This tradition started from online-presentation with university professors from Ernst Moritz Arndt University (Greifswald, Germany) in 2004. Therefore, graduates of the Comparative Law Department were not surprised using the distance learning technologies in order to present their theses.

The online-presentation of a bachelor's thesis in a foreign language takes 60 minutes. Nine papers were presented this year: three in German and six in English. There was a contentious debate among the members of the examination commission. However, as a result, eight grades are excellent, and one grade is good!

L.P. Elizarieva, the chairman of the examination commission, advisor to the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, especially noted the novelty in the formulation of the topics of the bachelor's theses. She also evaluated the high quality of the presentations and the fluency of the legal English of students. Especially, were marked Anastasia Burnakina (the topic «International Responsibility for the use of Autonomous Weapons Systems»), Alexandra Kostareva (the topic «Parallel proceedings in international adjudicative bodies», academic supervisor V.V. Tereshkova) and Ludmila Shulga (the topic «Criminal procedural aspects of distinction between the inspection of the scene, search and examination of premises, buildings, structures, sections of terrain and vehicles», academic supervisor L.V. Mayorova).

Congratulations to our graduates with a successful presentation!
