 In 20011 the International summer law schools are held by the Siberian Federal University Law Institute (Krasnoyarsk, Russia) from 09.08.2011 to 26.08.2011

International Summer Law Academy DSG-2011 (ISLA DSG-2011) celebrates its 10-th jubilee this year. ISLA-2011 (Germany) is held under DSG program in the frameworks of cooperation with University of Passau. Lecturers from University of Passau will arrive to read a course of lectures on criminal-procedural law, International public and European law in German for the 2 year students of the Law Institute. As far as the SFU Law Institute is a coordinating centre of DSG program, law students from Siberian federal district higher schools (cities of Omsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Barnaul and Irkutsk) take part. in this program

The international Summer Law Schools - 2011

1. The International Summer Law School for German students is held for the second time (the first time was in 2009). While in 2009 the number of participants was about 10 this year it is expected twice more. The SFU Law Institute and other Russian universities lecturers as well as SFU Law Institute DSG program graduates will read lectures on Russian law in German for 3 weeks.

2. The International Summer law school for Law Institute students is held annually. This year lecturers of University of Passau associate professor in English law Andrew Otto and Katharina McLarren will read lectures on European law in English for 2 weeks.

Within the frameworks of ISLA for German students, students from Germany will be able to get acquainted with the life of one of the central regions of Russia - Krasnoyarsk region, to get an idea about the main branches of Russian law, teaching technique, to get acquainted with the Russian language basics as well as to have an opportunity to get to know Russian culture and meet Russian students and lecturers.

ISLA will become a means of overcoming stereotypes and awakening interest for European higher schools students to training in Russia.
