Among other participants there were teams from Kemerovo, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Novokuznetsk, as well as two teams from Tomsk.
Apart from the classical science competitions and contests this Competition enabled students to show their worth in different spheres: they distinguished themselves as having in-depth knowledge of law and great artistic talent.
The Competition was divided into several stages, including comic performances concerning criminal procedure and criminalistics, theoretical and practical tasks and team captains' competition.
The Competition was opened by teams' "trademarks". The "trademark" of our team got the maximum points from the jury and was ultimately recognized as the best one. Next, there were a blitz-quiz, during which the competitors answered questions on the theory of criminalistics and criminal procedure; identikit compiling; fingerprinting and fingerprints identification; finding mistakes in an investigative action and many other interesting challenges. Unfortunately, in this competition our team yielded to the Tomsk students.
The final stage of the tournament was a presentation of the teams' "home works", in which students demonstrated their hand-made devices, helpful in practical activity. Our team "The group of persons" presented its device titled "Kesha", which was met with a great ovation by the audience.
The chairperson of the jury – Doctor of Law, professor, head of the Criminal Procedure, Procurator's Supervision and Law-Enforcement Activity Department of the Law Institute of the Tomsk State University, Olga Ivanovna Andreeva noted in her speech that Krasnoyarsk team's performance adorned the Competition. Even though "The group of persons" did not become a winner (first place was taken by the hosts of the event), it deservedly achieved the Audience Prize.
We are happy to congratulate the assistant of the Criminal Procedure Department of the Law Institute of the Siberian Federal University, Olga Gennadievna Ivanova, who participated as a coach of the team, and the third-year students – Andrew Shott (team captain), Evgeny Akunchenko, Michail Kuchkin, Konstantin Skoblic with the successful performance and wish a good luck on the next "Crimecess"!
