Participation in the 3rd Summer Human Rights School.

The collaborator of the Law Clinic and the Social committee for human rights protection, Semyon Isachenkov, participated in the 3rd Summer Human Rights School, which was held in Moscow from the 24th of July to the 1st of August 2010.
 The first seminar (24.07.10) was devoted to meeting and introduction to the Summer Human Rights School.
 
The topic of the second seminar was the essence of human rights. Different aspects, like modern approach to human rights, their types, and relation between rights and freedoms were discussed.
 
Third seminar was devoted to public interests protection: methods, strategy and tactics of solving public problems; human rights activists’ mechanisms of influencing on the government; and public problems monitoring system.
Court system and judicial community agencies were the issue of the fourth seminar, general aspects of which were covered during the lection read by the former judge of Supreme Court, Sergey A. Pashin.
The fifth seminar was devoted to international mechanisms of human rights protection.
 
The sixth seminar’s subject matter was “Legal protection and public education”, during which the participants discussed the formation of legal awareness proper standard among authorities and citizens.
 
The issue of the seventh seminar was devoted to financial position and goodwill of law-protection organization. The participants of the seminar determined 5 sources of financing a non-commercial organization: donations, grants, budget funds, commercial financing and membership fees. In addition, some pieces of advice were given with the view of rehabilitating the law-protection organization reputation.
 
Fascism and human rights were under discussion at the eighth seminar, where a plenty of theories were put forward: the theory of fascism absence; the theory of tolerance; two theories of fascism itself. 
 
The last seminar was devoted to homophobia and human rights. Representatives of sexual minorities and members of specialized law-protection organizations were present at the meeting.
