In 2011 the Law Institute passed the social accreditation held by the Association of Lawyers of Russia.The Association of Lawyers of Russia unites a great number of professional lawyers of different law spheres. It is comprised of practicing lawyers as well as law professors. One of the areas of the Association’s activity is the promotion of the quality of legal education including the social accreditation of the higher schools of law. The accreditation was passed successfully and the Law Institute was recognized as the educational institution which prepares high-quality professionals in the sphere of law. In accordance with the decision of the Central Election Commission of Russian Federation of December 28, 2007 № 83 / 666-5 in every subject of Russian Federation on the third Sunday of February must be held an annual young voter day. “International summer school 2014” opened it's doors on the 5th of August in SFU LS. Students came from SFU LS (25 students) Baikal State University of Economic and Law (Irkutsk) and from foreign universities of the Czech Republic (Praha), Germany (Passau, Gottingen, Munster, Constance, Trier, Darmstadt, Rostock) also. Courses are held by professors from Holland in English on European law, professors from Germany in German on German law and professors, aspirants and students in German on Russian law. Graduates of the SFU Law School are more attractive for employers.
