Within presentation results of scientific, educational and practical activities of the Center in 2011 will be declared, and also tasks of the Center for 2012 will be specified. Besides that, will be opened possibilities of mediation for settlement of disputes and some questions of application of this procedure. The center медиации has been established in 2011. Center purposes are: popularization of reconciliatory procedures in legal disputes; application of mediation for corporate, civil, family and labor disputes; realization of educational mediation programs; carrying out of scientific researches and legal examination concerning application of alternative ways of settlement of disputes in Russia and abroad.

Fifteen training programs of the SFU received a high appraisal by professional, academic and scientific community and were reckoned into the “The best educational programs of innovative Russia”.

The Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition is the international law contest conducted in the form of a simulated litigation in the UN International Court of Justice (ICJ). The Philip C. Jessup Competition was found in 1959. It is held worldwide and annually more than 600 teams from 90 countries are participating in it. The official language of the competition is English.

Join the public observers!

Youth Association of the Krasnoyarsk regional department of the Association of Lawyers of Russia announces the starting of the project "For clean elections". Any student of the Law Institute may register as a public observer and personally monitor the voting.

On the 1st of February Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, met the representatives of youth associations of the Association of Lawyers of Russia. The major part of the meeting was held in the assembly hall of the Moscow State Law Academy and was conducted in informal atmosphere.

On the 5th-6th of April 2012 the Law Institute of the Siberian Federal University holds Sixth International Scientific Conference for students, graduates and young scholars. This year the topic of the Conference is: “Russian legal system reformation and human rights protection: national and international context.”

On the 5-8 of December 2011 the Law Institute of the SFU in cooperation with the US-Russia Foundation on economic and law development (USRF) holds a seminar “Legal education in the 21st century: practically oriented legal education”.
