In 2011 the Law Institute passed the social accreditation held by the Association of Lawyers of Russia.The Association of Lawyers of Russia unites a great number of professional lawyers of different law spheres. It is comprised of practicing lawyers as well as law professors. In September 2015 the Institute for Economic Strategies of the Department of Social Sciences (RAS INES UN) announced an international competition for young economists, financiers of the EEU for the preparation of applied research "Currency EEU - 2015". In the first phase, participants were asked to prepare practical research on the topic: "Single currency area: the analysis of the views of the concepts and tools of political and business elites of the EEU, BRICS, EU". A.V. Teplyakova, the senior lecturer of the theory of law department made a working visit to Passau (Germany).
From 19 October to 30 October 2015 the senior lecturer of the theory of law department Teplyakova Anna Vladimirovna was visiting Passau for training in order to find out materials for dissertation and to participate in the symposium of student legal clinics “Specialization of legal clinics: the volume, limits and risks” held from 22 October to 24 October 2015 with the report "Student legal clinics across the border: a look at the work of the Student Legal Clinic of Siberian Federal University, Krasnoyarsk, Russia". At the University of Passau Law Clinic works since 2014 and that is why they were interested in the experience of colleagues from other German legal clinics, and from abroad. In September 2015 the Russian Geographic Society has announced a competition among the students of Russian universities, at the result of which were selected 10 winners, who will participate in the First Arctic Student Forum 2016 to be held in late January in the city of Tromso (Norway). One of the winners was the student of "International Relations" Ekaterina Dyubanova. The first Arctic Student Forum will be held in the framework of a large conference Arctic Frontiers, which brings together politicians, businessmen, scientists, who deal with the Arctic. For more than semicentenial development Law Institute has turned into one of the leading centres of legal personnel training in Russia: prominent representatives of various branches of law work here, there are 16 doctors of sciences (the teachers having a scientific degree, make 74%) among them.
About 2500 students are trained at the Institute. Educational activity is conducted according to the programs of higher and additional vocational training. At the Institute along with the traditional five year training there is a multilevel system of preparation of lawyers, which provides higher education. The students are given a bachelor’s degree after four years of training and master’s degree – after six years.
Lecturers of the Institute actively participate in working out and examination of projects of the Russian and regional laws, co-operate with regional and Russian authorities. Professors and senior lecturers are members of advisory councils and the commissions of state governing bodies, members of the qualifying commissions. At the initiative of the Institute scientific and advisory council is created at Krasnoyarsk Regional Court. The most qualified lecturers of the Institute along with judges participate there.
