In 2011 the Law Institute passed the social accreditation held by the Association of Lawyers of Russia.The Association of Lawyers of Russia unites a great number of professional lawyers of different law spheres. It is comprised of practicing lawyers as well as law professors. One of the areas of the Association’s activity is the promotion of the quality of legal education including the social accreditation of the higher schools of law. The accreditation was passed successfully and the Law Institute was recognized as the educational institution which prepares high-quality professionals in the sphere of law. Students of the Law School are the best in the sphere of civil procedure in Siberian Federal District
In the section “Civil and arbitrary process” the Law School was presented by third-year students Karina Miroshnichenko ( group YuYu14-02B) and Vadim Mokin (group YuYu14-06BMIP). Despite the serious competition, the participants showed good results by demonstrating brilliant knowledge in the sphere of a civil and arbitrary procedure. Annual conference “Yenisei legal reading” was carried out in 20 and 21 of April in the Law School of SibFU. 300 studies were presented within the scope of work of 24 sections.
The German-language session of Administrative law “DSG” is over
Students impressed both lecturers and themselves with good grades for the exam. As noted by the lecturers professor Urs Kramer and Katarina Lehner “the students have brilliant knowledge of German Law, sometimes level of it is even higher than native German students have”. Regular section “Socially important environmental and economic issues of Krasnoyarsk Region” was carried out 15 of April, 2017. That seminar was dedicated to issues of law regulation of environment on the international and national levels. Three lecturers of Law School of SibFu gave reports during the seminar: Sidorova T.Yu. "International legal aspects of the implementation of the concept of sustainable development"; Pavelieva E.A. "Supranational aspects of European environmental policy", Fitsai D.A. "Comparative legal analysis of environmental protection in Russia and China." Law Institute has new graduates of DSG program (German-language course of study “German Law”) Since 6.03.2017 till 11.03.2017 scientific employees of Passau University Leonard Schmitz and Andreas Scheibenpflüg held a course “German Civil law”, and since 13.03.2017 till 18.03.2017 Peter Kerlings and Ulrich Gatsk held a course "Commercial (merchant) law, the right of societies created on the basis of private law, labor law". Upon completion of passed disciplines third-year students of Comparative law department of Law Institute and non-resident student from Irkutsk had exams. This was a final session of DSG program. The students of the Siberian Federal University have won Russian National Round of the Jessup Moot Court Competition, which is the largest and most prestigious moot court in the world.
Students life.....
For more than semicentenial development Law Institute has turned into one of the leading centres of legal personnel training in Russia: prominent representatives of various branches of law work here, there are 16 doctors of sciences (the teachers having a scientific degree, make 74%) among them.
About 2500 students are trained at the Institute. Educational activity is conducted according to the programs of higher and additional vocational training. At the Institute along with the traditional five year training there is a multilevel system of preparation of lawyers, which provides higher education. The students are given a bachelor’s degree after four years of training and master’s degree – after six years.
Lecturers of the Institute actively participate in working out and examination of projects of the Russian and regional laws, co-operate with regional and Russian authorities. Professors and senior lecturers are members of advisory councils and the commissions of state governing bodies, members of the qualifying commissions. At the initiative of the Institute scientific and advisory council is created at Krasnoyarsk Regional Court. The most qualified lecturers of the Institute along with judges participate there.
