The review of the monograph of S.A. Drobyshevsky and E.Y. Tikhonravov "Methods of filling gaps in the law" is published in the third issue of the prestigious German law journal «Rechtstheorie» ( «The theory of law") for 2015. The author of this comment is a lawyer from the US T. Lundmark, currently professor of the University of Hull (UK). According to him, the monograph "is a fundamental and pioneering study of theoretical, constitutional and political role of judicial decisions, which overcome the gaps in the law". T. Lundmark supports the proposal concept of creative legal fiction, the methodology and the formulation of legal justification regulations, and many other original ideas contained in the book. 28-29 April 2016 XIV annual Russian national scientific conference of young searchers and students called “Evolution of Russian Law” took place in the Urals State Law University. Among participants were students, graduate students as well as postgraduate students and young researchers of Law Universities and faculties throughout 30 Russian and foreign Universities. SFU Law Institute was presented by graduate students of “Civilist: iustitia et ius” program Victoria Dgebko and Elena Korolkova (the research advisor is Doctor of Juridical Science, Prof. T.V. Sahnova). Following the results of the conference in section devoted to “Modern issues of civil process in national and international law” Dgebko Victoria took the premier place. Being amongst the best one in each section her statement will be published in electronic supplement to “Russian juridical journal” (the link: electronic.ruzh.org). On 27th May 2016 Law Institute team consisting 4 people took part in the Final Round of Russian Student Legal Olympiad 2016, which was held at Moscow State Legal University. Our team was represented by the following students: Primary nomination – civil law (Sabirov Artyom, 4th grade) Winning the "Model of the International Criminal Court - 2016"
The student team of Law Institute (SFU) – 3rd year comparative law department students: Yevtugina Anastasia, Mikhaleva Anastasia, Nikitenko Sergey, Kazachkova Daria, team coach PhD, Tereshkova V.V. – took the second place in semi-final of the international contest "Models of the International Criminal Court - 2016". The three winning teams are invited to Hague (The Netherlands) to participate in the final of the contest. There are: 1.The Volga Federal University (Kazan’). 2.
