Law Institute team (SFU) has won a prize and two nominations in All-Russian constitutional justice contest “The Crystal Themis”

Law Institute team has won a prize in the Fifth All-Russian constitutional justice student contest “The Crystal Themis” and became a winner in two nominations: “The best claim in Constitutional Court of Russian Federation” and “Great knowledge and use of Russian Constitutional Court legal positions”. Members of the team were: Anna Bykovskaya (1st year magistrate “Attorney/Barrister in court”), Sergey Kabanov, Alexandra Korsukova, Svetlana Ostanina, Victoria Ryabchenko and Artem Sabirov (all of them  - 4th year students). The coachers of the team were A.F.Vasilieva PhD, chair of constitutional, administrative and municipal law docent, and A.A.Brester PhD docent in criminal procedure chair.

Law Institute (SFU) Magistrate students again in Advocates Chamber

On 11th April 2016 magistrate program “Advocate in trial” students met with advocates. The meeting took place in Advocates Chamber of Krasnoyarsk territory within specially organized training.

This training was the second part of the subject “Advocate in civil proceedings” in magistrates program. The first part was dedicated to pre-trial work of advocate with a client, primarily negotiation work. This was carried out in Law Institute several weeks ago. Then the students during the interview with a client had to understand his case, figure out the interest, give him assistance in negotiation and later, using civil law norms, put the reached agreements into written contract.

Completions on the knowledge of welfare state were held on the Department of Social Work

On 12 of December second-year students of social work department of Law Institute competed in the knowledge of welfare state basics. The game “How well do I know the basics of welfare state and civil society?” is a tradition of the department, which was founded by a docent of theory and methods of social workTat'yana Anatol'yevna Kattsina. The game is not an interactive way of checking the knowledge of the second-year students about under study discipline only but also an actualization of residual knowledge of third-year students. The third-years students, who studied this discipline year ago, were the main providers and developers of the game.

A Regular Session of the Scientific Advisory Counsel at the Krasnoyarsk territory Prosecution Office

At the meeting of the Scientific Advisory Counsel in Krasnoyarsk territory prosecution office on 16th June 2016 experienced professionals from the police, courts, prosecution office and professors from Law Institute (SFU) worked out unified law enforcement practice in investigating and hearing in courts criminal cases under article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia.

The docent of the Law Institute has entered the TOP-5 scientists who have contributed to the fight against corruption

The director of anti-corruption and legal examination center of SFU, the docent of Law Institute Irina Damm has entered the TOP-5 scientists list, who have made the greatest contribution to the maintenance of anti-corruption activity in 2016.

Top-list is construed according to the result of experts’ poll.

Сompilers note, “Since 2014 the "Bulletin of anticorruption expertise" editors office hold an annual experts’ poll. To abide norms of the Russian Federation law we ask experts not to assess contribution to the anti-corruption activity of government and municipal workers. Only scientists and public figures who have made the greatest contribution to the maintenance of anti-corruption activity enters the top-list”.
